Trumbull Early Childhood Education Center

Founded in 2005, Trumbull Early Childhood Education Center (TECEC) is the first free-standing public special needs preschool program in Connecticut. Built on the firm foundation of an integrated education model, every classroom in TECEC educates children of all learning-capacities, emphasizing the importance of inclusion and understanding. TECEC believes no child is typical; that every child is unique; and all children have valuable contributions to the lives and educations of their classmates.

We love our parent volunteers with colorful hands

Parent Volunteers

One of the hallmarks of our program is parent and community involvement. Your child’s teacher will be
reaching out to you with the best ways to engage with their education. We also encourage you to take the time to fill out the TPS volunteer form for the 2022-2023 school year. The process can take several
weeks to complete the background checks, so as soon as you have an opportunity to complete the
form, we are more than happy to receive them. This form has to be completed annually as mandated by the state guidelines for school volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the
following forms TPS Volunteer Form.pdf and drop it off at TECEC so it can be processed. All submitted
forms need to have an original signature, therefore forms cannot be emailed or faxed. Further, all the fields of the form need to be completed or the form will be returned. For example, the father's maiden name needs to be filled in with N/A.
